About Me

Texas, United States
I am a native Texan currently living in a small town in Hood County Texas. I have loved to draw, paint, craft all my life and since my retirement as a public school teacher have been finding more opportunities to paint and draw. My last four years of teaching were spent teaching art to elementary students. I have had opportunities to be instructed by many wonderful artists in a variety of mediums including Dan Brown (dry brush watercolor); Ann Eckstrom, Scott Myers, Kay Franklin, Betty Carr, Vickie Guthrie (oil painting); Anthony Ryder (figure drawing) and a Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain class. Within the last year I attended workshops with western artists George Hallmark, Bruce Greene, and Martin Grelle. Every artist I have taken classes from has taught me something valuable to help me create my own art. It has been a frustrating and fulfilling artistic journey, and I anticipate many more learning opportunities in my quest for knowledge and understanding in creating art. includingattend classes with

I did a series of graphite drawings of vegetables.  They were a lot fun to do.
I had some fun painting this blue bonnet painting.  I used the Scott Christiansen series of grey paints made by Vasari.  They're a little pricy but the colors are fabulous. LCM
